Forensic Animation: Moorpark Amtrak Collision

Forensic Animation
My first forensic animation involved an Amtrak accident from November of 2000. I worked closely with noted railroad expert Robert Hitson, learning quite a bit about the intricacies of event recorders and railroad rules of operation. I used Newtek Lightwave® to model and render the animation. By using a variety of data sources, it quickly became clear why the collision had occured and the case was quickly settled out of court.
