Why I use it

One of the easiest ways to improve application performance is to avoid repeatedly doing the same work. Redis excels at keeping frequently needed information immediately available, allowing Drupal to spend more time serving users and less time rebuilding cached data.

How I use it

Redis provides extremely fast in-memory storage that Drupal can use for cache bins, session handling, locking, and other performance-sensitive operations. Moving frequently accessed data out of the database reduces latency while improving the responsiveness of the entire application.

I've configured Redis as part of enterprise Drupal platforms where performance, scalability, and reliability were key architectural goals. Combined with other caching layers, Redis helps Drupal handle larger workloads while keeping administrative and front-end experiences responsive.

Clients may never know Redis is running behind the scenes, but they'll notice the result: a faster, more responsive website that scales more effectively under increasing demand.
